I want to thank GOD for blessing me with the gift of makeup. HE has truly orchestrated every aspect of my life's journey, from beautifying my first face in 1982, 7th grade, to this present day.
But me not knowing that Makeup Artistry was one of the paths GOD had for me, I started pursuing a career in Transportation when I was a Senior in High School by driving school busses 1988-89 for Lexington School District One.
Around the same time, I went to one of the best Cosmetologist in Columbia SC. Her name was Ms. Angeline, called Angeline's on Assembly. I went to get my hair weave done Jheri Curl style big huge curls with a part on the side. I didn't even know what was happening. We were talking about some things and she gave me this huge mirror and told me to watch what she was doing. I saw everything. My Mother paid $250 for my hair weave that day. That was the first and last time someone else did my weave. I had no idea that was part of GOD'S plan also. Did my weave, wore wigs and even did other people's weaves at times from 1989 until 2011. Went Chestnut Blonde in December 2011. Let one lady bleach my hair that one time. After that GOD showed me what to do again. I went Platinum Blonde February 2012. From 2011 to 2024 was the short Pixie Platinum Blonde era. But when that was over, GOD said I want you to wear wigs from now on and it's been wigs every since June 2024. Little did I know...
Did some other jobs in-between 1989- 96. Those were called in-between jobs. GOD got me back on the path of Transportation and obtained my Class B in 1996. Drove School Busses again and drove for my church on Sundays and Wednesdays, plus I was a Children's Church Worker and PreSchool Teacher. That was from the time my son was 6 months to the 6th grade. Worked in 3 different Daycares... Drove for them also. I was even a CNA for Palmetto Baptist Medical Center 9th Averet, Columbia SC.
GOD even called me to Minister The Gospel November 1999 to this present day.
Was married in November 2000 and had my only son October 2001. Was a stay at home Mom for 7 years and did in home Daycare for 4 of those 7 years. Separated 2010, Divorced in 2014. But GOD kept me and my son...
No more than 3 months after our separation GOD led me back to driving School Busses for some years. HE promoted me to drive for The Comet in Columbia SC then HE led me to Salt Lake City Utah and obtained my Class A CDL and went OTR. Also did Regional, and needed to be closer to home and did NC, SC and GA. GOD even gave me time to drive Dump Trucks and Box Trucks. It all happened so fast! March 4th 2026 was my 30 year Anniversary of having a Commercial Driver's License!
But I've always had a passion for Makeup. GOD said I'VE let you do the things you wanted to do, now it's time to pick up on what I'VE called you to do. So in November 2022 I started Leticia Gates Artistry. But GOD said that's about you!!! THEN HE HELPED ME BIRTH 1 Woman At A Time February 2023 by speaking through my Pastor, Dr. Marcia Bailey. She has been such an Inspiration to me. They both have been guiding me through the word of GOD and through their life's experiences. Bishop Herbert Bailey keep telling your stories...

GOD even resurrected Transportation at our church late 2025. Yep! Now my son has joined the Transportation Team!
I've accomplished a lot of things in life, helping those in need, being a listening ear to family and friends and doing Ministry in every field I was in yep even OTR.
But you know what? The biggest gift of all is using all of this life that GOD gave me to Glorify HIM! FOR WE ARE
